Frauenkirchen Church, Dresden, Germany, 9 1/2 x 12, Ink (Item#273)
St. Mary's Frauenkirche, Dresden, Germany. The largest stone dome north of the Alps. To me personally, the significance is related to WWII. My brother, Eugene survived the Battle of the Bulge and moved east until his group "the fighting 69th" finally met the Russians on the Elbe River in April of 1945. Bev and I visited this area a few years ago. No scars to show there ever was a war, unlike when I was in Berlin in 1953!
